Gary Schafkopf, Esq.

Bio

Gary Schafkopf is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has been admitted pro hac vice or appeared as out of state counsel in many other jurisdictions including Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and New York.

Gary focuses his practice on complex business and civil litigation matters. He has successfully litigated, arbitrated, and/or negotiated complex litigation matters leading to the recovery of millions of dollars for his clients. Gary's combination of legal knowledge and extensive business experience is invaluable when tackling complex financial matters and in settlement negotiations, where financial knowledge and negotiation skills are essential.

He has built a reputation for negotiating settlements even between over-contentious parties. While attending four settlement conferences in one week, Gary settled two Federal Court cases on the same day and a total of four cases in that one week.

Gary has lectured and trained attorneys throughout the country on the art of negotiation. Prior to becoming an attorney, he owned and operated a series of successful businesses.

Gary prides himself on his hands-on approach to client representation. He has also advised and/or worked with international clients and companies, including those from or in China, Egypt, India, Israel, Kuwait, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.

He has attained both a business administration degree in finance from La Salle University and a Juris Doctor degree from Widener University.

Gary is a member of the Commercial Law League of America.

Bio

Born and Raised in Delaware County Yanna attended Saint Joseph’s University where she earned dual degrees in Political Science and Economics. Yanna then went on to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law. During her time at the University of Baltimore School of Law Yanna participated in the school’s Immigrant Rights Clinic, during this time Yanna was temporarily admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and successfully advocated for her client to receive Asylum in the United States. Yanna also successfully assisted clients of the clinic with applications for US Citizenship and various Immigration Visas.

Yanna focuses her practice on business and civil litigation matters. Yanna’s family owned and operated a well-known and successful pizza store in Southwest Philadelphia for over 35 years. From a young age Yanna assisted her parents in the daily operations of the store and as she grew older helped guide her parents through lease negotiations, supplier disputes and a variety of issues that come with owning a small business. Yanna draws on her own experiences and legal knowledge to help guide businesses big and small though contract disputes and litigation.

Yanna is a member and former Vice President of BNI Valley Forge and a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association. When not working Yanna enjoys traveling and exploring Philadelphia’s extensive restaurant scene. Yanna is fluent in Greek.
